We are delighted to announce that as of today, hub101.earth LTD is a registered charity in England and Wales: our registered charity number is 1219841.
We started the registration process with the Charity Commission for England and Wales many months ago. We firmly believe that our mission to be a global open-access hub for education and knowledge sharing in climate, nature and people positive solutions is an essential public good. Topics such as climate change, nature loss and environmental degradation can be daunting and complex, but learning about their impacts as well as solutions available to combat these problems is crucial to keep hope alive and inspire change. We aim to spread the word about positive action, by making quality education on these important topics more accessible to a global audience. We need a world where all people, especially young people and Global South communities and leaders, can be empowered with information and knowledge that allows them to make a difference from wherever they are, in whichever way they can.
Since our launch in August 2024, we have established over 80 modules on our eLearning platform, covering a wide range of topics such as climate change and mitigation, carbon markets and pricing, nature and biodiversity, sustainable finance, as well as water and ocean. Our podcast series Conversations@hub101.earth is now in Season 2, featuring inspiring people and organisations that are making a difference. Both our eLearning and podcast remain free and open to the public. We also continue to offer bespoke education programmes to key partners across youth groups and the Global South.
Our Founder and Managing Director Yuejia Peng says: “I am incredibly proud of the great progress we have made over the past two years, and so delighted that hub101.earth has reached this incredible milestone of becoming a charity. This marks the beginning of a new exciting chapter of our journey. We are committed to deliver a public benefit through education and knowledge sharing on the most pressing challenges of our generation, and spread hope as widely as possible in this fight for our people and planet. We can’t wait to get going!”
